IFES Café: Brexit and Islamic Finance

The Islamic Finance and Ethics Society invites you to our first roundtable discussion where we’ll be unpacking the potential opportunities or problems that could arise for the IF industry following the Brexit vote.

This is an informal session where we wish to question more than solve, providing food for thought about how leaving the European Union will impact Islamic Finance.

The discussion will be centred around the article recently published by Patrick Follan, our in-house researcher who notably said;

“Islamic finance in the UK stands in a unique position. It is particularly shielded from the exposure to European investors suffered by financial services more generally and is enjoying an increase in international interest”
