Dr Mehmet Asutay teaches Islamic Political Economy, Islamic Moral Economy and Islamic Banking at Durham University. He is the Director of the Durham Centre for Islamic Economics and Finance. Dr Asutray is the Managing Editor of the Review of Islamic Economics and is an Associate Editor of the American Journal of Islamic Social Science.

Dr Asutay will be speaking about whether Islamic Finance is moving towards capitalism and missing the value system of Islamic Economics. Can Islamic Economics be considered a system? What is the value system of Islamic Economics?
